Your board pack, drafted by BD3 instead of BD8.
DataLinkPro builds the monthly board and investor pack for finance teams at $20M to $500M companies. It reads your ERP and GL exports, consolidates your entities, and drafts variance commentary for your team to review and sign.
Send last quarter's exports. We rebuild your own board pack in DataLinkPro before the call.

The books close by BD3. The board pack eats the rest of the week.
Most finance teams we talk to don't have a close problem. They have an assembly problem: exporting, re-mapping, pasting and chasing, after the numbers are already final.
“The numbers were final on Wednesday. The deck went to the board the following Tuesday, and I couldn't tell you what happened in between.”

“I'm emailing twelve budget owners for two sentences each, and the last ones arrive Friday night.”
FP&A lead, $85M software company“One inserted column in the mapping tab and the margin page is wrong. Nobody notices until the CFO does.”
Controller, 4-entity distributor“I would rather spend BD5 explaining the numbers to our CEO than formatting them.”

Trial balances, budget and FX rates map to your board lines, intercompany eliminates, and the pack checks itself before your team starts review.

Your exports go in. A draft board pack comes out, ready for review.
No ERP migration and no new close process. DataLinkPro starts from the trial balance your team already produces.

1
Connect your exports
Upload trial balance and GL detail exports by entity, or schedule a read-only SFTP pickup from your ERP. CSV and XLSX both work.
-
2
Map it once, with us
A solutions engineer maps your chart of accounts to your board lines, sets elimination rules for each intercompany pair, and records your variance thresholds. You approve the mapping before it goes live.

Review the draft
Each month the pack is rebuilt in your layout. Every line over threshold gets drafted commentary, routed to its owner. Nothing reaches the board without a named approver.
How many hours does your board pack cost each month?
Set the three inputs to match your last close. The calendar below redraws to show when your pack would reach the board.
back per close for your finance team
About 1,146 hours a year
board pack ready, instead of BD8
4 business days sooner
With 4 people and 6 entities, that is roughly the pack-building time of 2.4 working weeks handed back every month.
Your estimate carries into the request, so the solutions engineer sees it.
The assumptions behind this estimate
- Your ledger close is unchanged: 3 business days, or 4 if you consolidate more than 10 entities. DataLinkPro starts from your closed trial balance.
- Each person on the pack spends about 5 hours a day on it while it is being built.
- Spreadsheet consolidation adds about 1.5 hours per entity each month. In DataLinkPro it is about 15 minutes.
- After go-live, review takes 1 business day, plus 1 more for every additional 10 entities, at about 3 hours per person per day.
- These are planning figures from our onboarding averages, not a guarantee. In the custom demo we measure it on your real exports.
Built to pass your audit committee, not only your finance team.
You will be sending us your most sensitive numbers. Here is exactly how they are handled, before and after you sign.
- SOC 2 Type II
- Audited every year by an independent CPA firm. The current report covers March 2025 to February 2026 and is shared under NDA.
- Single sign-on
- SAML 2.0 SSO with your identity provider, SCIM provisioning, and enforced multi-factor sign-in for any account outside SSO.
- Role permissions
- Access by role, entity and board line. An entity controller edits their own commentary without seeing another entity's payroll lines.
- US data residency
- Customer data is stored and processed in two US regions only. Encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Read-only, with an audit trail
- DataLinkPro reads exports and never writes back to your ERP or general ledger. Every edit and approval is logged and kept for 7 years.
| Role | View pack | Edit commentary | Approve |
|---|---|---|---|
| CFO | All entities | All lines | Final pack |
| Controller | All entities | All lines | Sections |
| Entity controller | Own entity | Own lines | No |
| Board member | Final only | No | No |
What customers say
“Our August pack went to the board on BD4. Last year it was BD9, and I wrote most of the commentary after 10 p.m. The drafts aren't perfect, but editing a sensible first draft is a different job from starting on a blank slide.”
“What convinced our audit committee was the approval trail. Every number in the pack traces back to a timestamped GL export, and every comment shows who approved it.”

Questions finance leaders ask before the demo
Do you need access to our ERP?
No. For the demo, and for many customers after go-live, we work from the exports you already produce: trial balance by entity and GL detail. A scheduled read-only pickup is optional and set up by your team, not ours.
What happens to the exports we send for the demo?
They are covered by a mutual NDA, stored in our US environment, seen only by your solutions engineer, and deleted 30 days after the demo (or sooner if you ask). You can also send a prior year's exports, or scramble the account descriptions.
Who writes the variance commentary?
DataLinkPro drafts it from the drivers in your GL detail, using the thresholds and wording rules you set. The line owner edits it, a named approver signs it off, and the audit log keeps both versions.
Can it match the board pack we already send?
Yes. We rebuild your current layout, page order and chart styles. Most boards notice one thing: the pack arrives earlier.
How long does implementation take?
Four to six weeks for most groups under 10 entities. You run DataLinkPro alongside your spreadsheet pack for one close, then go live on the second.
Does it handle intercompany and multiple currencies?
Yes. Elimination rules are set per intercompany pair, FX rates come from your ERP export, and the pack shows a tie-out check before it can be approved.
We're under $20M in revenue. Is this for us?
Probably not yet. If a well-built spreadsheet template will serve you better, the solutions engineer will say so on the first reply.
